Peugeot 406 dashboard orange screen not working

Well its working but it's so messed up you can't see none of the numbers and when it beeps I don't know what's wrong so it's a bit scary

Ours did exactly the same thing.
We didn't do anything about it as they were quite expensive to rectify at the time.
If the display Is working but garbled I'd say may be the screen PCB is messed up. So try changing the screen.
If it was dead with no beeps I would say the trip computer has failed, and that's a bit more involved.
