Noise that subsides as fan rotates when ignition open

my fans are rolling fine but when I open the ignition a cricking noise occure before the the fans starts rolling. After about 5mins on motion an iccon of fan shows on my instrument panel on the dashboard.any suggestion pls

When you refer to "open the ignition " do you mean switching on?What fans are you referring to ?Engine coolant fans or inside heater fans ?

the clicking noise is from the air mixer motor located behind the glovebox.
