Air con /heating system will not switch off or adjust blows all the time

The air con heating system climate control will not switch off or adjust it blows air continuously on the high setting, it is very annoying and very noisy even with all the vents closed, I got a new unit and had this fitted today along with the timing belt and radio as this would not switch off either the radio is now ok but the air unit is still blowing, anyone any ideas

sounds like a fault with the resistor pack. it can be found to the right of the passenger footwell....green connector.. try disconnecting it. another fault could be the ignition switch
