Had clutch changed a week ago, now the gear stick is moving freely but the gears are not changing

Check the gear linkage. It may have come loose or disconnected...

linkages favorite.... they are popper type.. its possible that on removal the nylon insert popper fractured. then once fitted again, they just dont grip...
