Wet floor back of driver seat and infront of driver deat . ??

2001 Peugeot 406 1.8 estate petrol

Year: 2001
Variant: 1.8 estate petrol
Water logged floor to front and back of driver seat ? dryed it up then it was wet again . where can this water be comming from ??

Reseal rear drivers side light. Common fault their seal breaks letting in water. Reseal and dry out should sort out problem.if its not that then check for hole in floor

you should also check the door seals and the bulkhead drains incase they are blocked. If you cant diagnose try getting someone to hose the car with you inside looking for where the water comes in

Thanks for that info , checked and there is a hole in floor below steering wheel , but it jst looks like a hole in the carpet ?? how can water be leaking through that ? would there not need to be a hole in the body work under neath the carpet for water to leak through ? confused ? and can i have this repaired ?? cheers

i will check the drainholes tomorrow . Are they located below the front wind screen ? there is no leaks beside the door frames or seals etc , as i thought that might have been the problem myself . Strange !!!
