1996 Peugeot 406 engine will turn over but wont start

in desperate need of good advice - whilst checking fan relays because of an overheating problem due to fan not working, have ended up with a 406 that turns over but won't start. only problem was the engine getting hot and on checking battery with tester on negative lead, (which needed loosening), alarm was set off. on switching alarm off and trying to re start car - no go - has been days now and trying everything can think of to no avail so if u have any ideas - please help, tahnks

Good Day,

Get the alram system dhecked may have locked the engine, is there a way you can diaram it manually and then see if the car starts if it does then the alram will have to be reset
