Problem started yesterday. Started the car drove down the road and when i stopped at the junction the car just cut out. It started straight away but a bit further down the road I went to change down the gears and the engine cut out again as i was driving (not fun cause the steering wheel locked and the brakes wouldn't work proberly). It started straight away again and worked fine for the rest of my journey. The same thing has happened again today.

sounds like the engine management coolant temp sensor is faulty but to be sure of the problem get in to a garage and have them plug in there diagnostics equipement this will tell you straight away what the problem area is and what will need replacing on your car
