From our archives Peugeot 3008 1.6 sport HDI S-A. 2010; transmission going into neutral although still in auto drive. 2010 Peugeot 3008 Sport 1.6HDI S-A Problem Details Suddenly without warning stopped at lights the car went into "Neutral" showing on the dash while Stick was in Auto, this happened twice before the car went into neutral while actually driving. Realising the danger of this, managed to get to my Repair man who tells me the "Repair Needed" sign has indicated a problem with Gearbox selectors/ managment? He has advised me that the parts plus VAT could exceed the value of the car. Had the car 12 months purchased at 31k with full service history, now at 39k I am looking at possibly taking a large loss either way, to repair or not to repair that is the question. Also might be worthwhile getting a second opinion from an independant auto gearbox specialist as it could POSSIBLY be a smaller , known , common fault .
