Cuts out when stopping.

When eco turned on, my car cuts put when coming to a stop, when I take my foot off the brake and touch the accelerator, this is accompanied by a short whine, I then have to pit it into neutral and .restart. drives fine when eco is off

It's not the stop / start ( if fitted on that year ) you are switching on ?
