Parking brake fault, brake will not release

Warning message: Parking Brake Fault, have the vehicle repaired message.
The brake will not release. Light goes off when you hold the switch down but comes back on as soon as you release it. Cannot hear the motors to the calipers trying to engage.

Check your owners manual and see if covered by any fuses , I dont have a fuse schematic for that year . Really needs scanning for fault codes with suitable equipment that can read all circuits .

Thanks, will give it a go if I can get hold of the fuse allocation tables and corresponding diagrams. The manual says they are available from the dealer. The dealer wants £185+vat for the switch, will try them in the morning for the diagram.
