2014 Peugeot 3008 semi auto clutch gone very suddenly vospers say its not covered under warrenty 38k

got car seconhand from vospers main dealer
gave a complete service a year ago and got 3 year extended warrenty.
drives like a dream light use mrs has clocked up in a year 8000 miles booked in for yearly service .no worries
a week before service she was driving down the motorway no problems pulling like a new car perfect.pulls off to country lanes 20 mile an hour job ...suddenly strong burning smell and power loss high reving engine car wont move all in a matter of 200 yards.calls out rac ..cor you can smell the clutch is gone.how many miles ..38k ..
is that all sounds faulty to me.
well its got an extended warrenty. ok should be covered on a semi auto clutch ,its not as if you can ride the thing.....besides for it to go so suddenly smells of theres something else wrong with it thats going on which they will surprisingly discover when they take it to bits ..be carefull there...ok
vospers say ...no not covered under warrenty wear and tear...thats it
challenge for a week .nothing complain at there estimated £2000 bill asked for a break down ..9 hours labour at £126 an hour plus parts.... £126 pounds per hour what is he a heart surgeon...
i tell them to think again ,especially when im told auto and semi auto clutches last longer.....????? my cars on 85000 manual gear box and still going...so what the hells with 38k on the super tough semi auto doing???
i talk to other engineers who say beware not to get the french clutch vallio its cheap crap wich is what main dealers put in = more profit.best go for another specalist and insist on a luk one..?? and dont get a heart surgeon to do it ,to save money....
so im worried theres more damage that they are going to find and wont tell me
are well ripping me off cost wise
and three everyone is saying its far too low a milage to be considered normal wear and tear,the clutch is controlled by the car ,its sounds faulty ,not normal wear and tear .
but vosper aint having any of it..
what do i do how do i challenge /double check all this
