2010 Peugeot 3008 knocking whilst turning

When turning 3/4-full lock there is a large knocking sound coming from the underneath its most noisy when turning right and a slight knock when turning left,
I'm thinking driveshaft but I'm incredibly surprised that the driveshaft would have worn out already? I'm taking it down to my local garage on Friday but before I book it in for replacement driveshaft that's going to be expensive any other ideas?

Before you book it in , make sure it is the driveshaft c/v joint that is faulty .Check for wear or a short road test should confirm .
