2005 Peugeot 207 low oil presure warning when braking

hi all. my 2005 1.4 petrol 207 has the low oil pressure warning come on when i apply the brakes. i have changed the oil and filter which made no difference. when i removed the old filter i found the center cross was broken. normally a common fault to cause the low oil pressure to come on.

Could be a faulty switch / sensor .
