fuel pump is running constantly when car is switched off,i have to remove fuse to stop battery running down,

obtain a wiring diagram for you car and trace the positive wire back from the fuel pump to each device/switch. you will probably find that one of these has shorted internally. my best guess is that you have a stuck relay.
