2010 Peugeot 207 'battery charge or electrical supply faulty'

Car: Peugeot 207
Year: 2010
Variant: 1.4
I drive for approx half a mile, battery warning light comes on and ‘battery charge or electrical supply fault’ flashes onto the display. There is no change to the running of the car and the battery is only 1 year old. The problem started when the extreme heatwave started 2 days ago.
The light goes out once I stop the car. Seems to be no other problems but I’m not confident to travel too far. Can you please help, I need my car for work.

You need to get your alternator charging rate checked .Even though your battery is only a year old , get it checked as , if alternator faulty , battery voltage may be low . Halfords or most fast fit depots often check FOC. and while you wait .Simple 5 min checks .
