Just had the head gasket, cam belt & thermostat done as car overheated, previous owner had filled it with sealer, drives OK but thought the exhaust was blowing had checked by garage and exhaust OK, but the pressure blowing is high coming out of the back box is this normal rang garage that carried out the work and they say cheap exhaust fitted could be the issue, any body come across this before idle tick over is 800-1000 rpm

Hate working on cars where sealer has been used instead of repairing correctly , also dependant on what type of sealer .Some really screw up the engine and cooling system . Was the cyl head tested and skimmed if needed ? Radiator could be partially plugged also with sealer . Any sign of rad hoses pressurising ?
