Immobilised and won't turn over

2009 Peugeot 207 1.4 hdi 3 door
Car: Peugeot 207
Year: 2009
Variant: 1.4 hdi 3 door
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Hello
My 207 had started to sound a warning buzzer for 10 to 20 seconds after inserting the key and when removing it again when engine stopped.
I changed the fob battery ( I only have 1 key) as it had shown the plip battery warning, this made no difference to the warning sound.
Nothing shown on in car diagnostic.
The car had sat in the garage for a few days unlocked and when I went to take it out it wouldn't turn over.
Now when I put the key in I get a 2 tone warning buzzer for 10 to 20 seconds, and the same when removing the key.
Any ideas to what has happened or what has caused it to immobilise.
Thanks in advance

What diagnostic did you perform and what system did you use?

Could be car battery , try jump start .This tells you how to programme key if needed ,

Well my car is now sorted. Got it started with a tow rope this evening, so that eliminated my first thoughts of it being a fault with the alarm system.
I stripped down the steering column covers to find out where the 2 tone warning buzzer was coming from, I found a little black box cable tied to a cross bar below the dash which was connected into the 3 core at the key switch. I googled the box make / model number and turns out its a tracker of some sort used by finance companies.
Well It's now in the bin and my car starts perfect with no buzzer blaring :-)
That's what I get for buying at auction
