Ignition just dies

Sometimes at junctions but even driving on a road the ignition just cuts out,the engine stops as does the power steering,On turning the key all is fine again until the next time.

I would try cleaning the throttle body and air idle control valve first to cure intermittent engine stalling / cutting out .

You don't say whether petrol or diesel. It may be an issue with ABS ecu or voltage problem.The under bonnet fuse box can cause problems too.The supply lead to the box could be loose so poor connection occasionly
