Pull off rough and clunky.

I just bought this vehicle. Pull off is rough, like it wants to stall and clunky as I apply the accelerator. Once we get going, the rest of the gear changes are silky smooth

Not the best of auto gearboxes , clunky is one of many complaints from owners .
