Several times boot open warning when I pull off. Now car will not lock.

Several times we have had a boot open warning after we pull away. Each time we open and close the boot and its been okay. Now today the warning continues even after checking and now the car will not lock.

Make sure rear parcel shelf is pushed fully home and then bang / close boot firmly
