Battery charging fault, stop vehicle messing displayed. Could this be alternator?

The alternator charging rate would be the first thing I would check . Simple 5 min procedure .

Unless you have a volt meter , you could call into a fast fit centre like Halfords and ask them to check alternator output . Usually F.O.C while you wait and that would verify or not . Or if you have a local garage you use , most would usually oblige also .You might want to get your battery checked as well at same time , again a simple check .
