When cold auto box jumps 3 or 4 times when setting off. Once warmed up its ok. Have changed gearbix oil.

Check / replace plugs , check , clean MAF would be a good start off point

Interesting, just read up on MAF operation. I shall investigate it. If that is ok any other suggestions?

Could give you dozens of possible causes with a 15 yr old car . Could add engine coolant temp sensor faulty , sending wrong info when cold to ECU to your list .
