2007 Peugeot 107 minor squealing noise when changing gears

Hi,
I have just had my car serviced (20000 Mile service). Whilst it was in I informed the garage (the local Southgate Peugeot dealer from whom I purchased the car) that I was experiencing the problem I am about to ask you about.
Basically, there seems to be a squealing noise coming from the engine bay when I change gears. Now, I have noticed it mainly when changing from first to second gear, and only if I put a bit too much acceleration in after the shift. If I change gears gently there is no noise. This isn't to say I usually change gears violently, far from it. But sometimes one isn't always consciously gentle in all situations.
The Peugeot garage told me they took it out for a drive and were unable to find or hear the problem, but I KNOW it is there. I plan on taking it back to them ASAP but would first like some expert advice from you guys if you can shed some light on this issue.
I'm a novice with cars but to me it sounds as if something is slipping, hence perhaps why it only seems to happen when I accelerate too much after the gear change...But I could be wrong!

Hi there,please remember it is sometimes hard to give the right diagnoses with out seeing & hearing it first hand so hear gose.
from what you are descibing it sounds like one of two things,
it could be that on hard excelleration the fan belt could be sliping,if the gaurge drove your car gently it might not have made the scweel,or solution two it could be the release bearing in the clutch houseing but saying that my money is on the belt.
