1999 Peugeot 107 acceleration decreases when driving

Hi, I would appreciate some advice please. My pug 106 sometimes loses power when in fifth gear. It can also happen in lower gears but not first or second. I have replaced the fuel filter and this has made no difference. In fact the de-acceleration occurs more now in the lower gears. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Get the codes read if theres any logged this will lead you in a direction. you do not mention engine type/model,
