My gears are stiff on my car, jst bought it and my first car.
Can someone please give me a bit of advice on whether its supposed to be like that.
Im not used to an older car so dnt know if its ok.
The gears do change but jst harder than a newer car,
My clutch is quite high to get the bite, is that normal aswell.
any advice would be appreciated thanx

Do you mean the gears are difficult to engage or do you mean that the gear lever feels stiff when you move it?

some thing doesnt sound right there as the gear lever should move nice and free so there could just want regreasing on all the joints relating to the lever/gearbox but with you also saying that the biting point on the clutch is near the top of the pedals travel would suggest the clutch is ready but have it checked first just to be sure

when u say the clutch is ready, do u mean its ready to go
