2001 Peugeot 106 car stopping

i have a 106 quicksilver and everytime i drive it it jus randomly slows right down and stops,any idea what this could be?

Is it hard to restart and does it smell of fuel,had one the other day which was overfuelling needed new temp sender unit for ecu (not gauge)and oxygen sensor
