please some one help got peugeot , and the clutch is making this very loud whining noice , plus there was a burning smell , now it wont go into first gear ,some one please help .

sounds like clutch has burnt out can you get all gears when engine turned off and stationary if so sounds like clutch will need gear box removing to check also get release bearing sleeve checked for damage a good garage will do this anyway and check g/box feels ok when turning input shaft
