2001 Peugeot 106 fan and temp light come on as soon as i start

i can start the car and the temp light and fan come on straight away, then go off and on intermittantly, i have changed temp sensor, checked coolant, but still on and off even though its cold nad still does it when its normal temp as well. somebody must know a cure?

I would still suspect the sensor, is it a brand new one? try the old fashioned method of popping it in a saucepan and warm it up it should make a connection across the switch at boiling point and not before.
