1997 Peugeot 106 struggling to pick up speed

My car since i started driving as always struggled with hills but lately its really struggling to pick up speed no matter where im driving. Its like the back end of the car is filled with bricks stopping the car from moving properly. Any suggestions on what could be the cause of this?

Assuming you don`t have any warning lights on and your sure the brakes aren`t binding, it may just need a FULL service. Make sure you replace the plugs and filters, especially the fuel filter--so often overlooked!!

If it is automatic check the transmission fluid if it is manual check the cluch
