Hazards and clocks fault

2006 Peugeot 1007 1.4 Dolce
Car: Peugeot 1007
Year: 2006
Variant: 1.4 Dolce
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
It started with the gear and mileage readout reverting to unlit when I switched on my side lights then lit when lights turned off. Then the speedo, petrol gauge etc stopped working (not affected by lights) Next the speedo went to 130 mph (I was stationary) the lights worked but did not show on dash and the hazards flashed persistantly. Any ideas? This happened over two days.

Initially it sounded like a gear or clutch actuator fault but get your battery checked out

If that's OK check for water ingress into bsi

It is with an auto electrician as I post this. It seems to be a wiring problem as the clocks keep changing...one works the others do not then it alters next time I get in it. Also when I put on my sidelights the cd auto changer in the glovebox starts whirring. The battery was new last year.

It's been on the Peugeot diagnostics and I've been told that it is clocks failure....so need new clocks cluster at an exorbitant amount.
