Car going off

The car has problems starting in the mornings and goes off upon take off. At times it goes off in the evenings too when i am leaving the office.

When you say " goes off " , do you mean misfires , flat spot ? If so could be ECT ( engine coolant temp sensor ) If not that , many other possible causes which would be better to get checked out with a diagnostic scan .

a good service may help out here as sounds like you are possibly experiencing signs off leads or coil pack breaking down or even a spark plugs wearing out and need replacing give the car a good service and all should be ok

From what you say, is this fault only happening when starting engine from cold ? or does it do it all the time ?
