Dear All,
I have purchased a second hand car and did not get the car manual.
My engine light on the dashboard often lights up while i'm driving and this happens when gear change from 1st to 2nd.
I think there must be a problem somewhere as the car's capacity decreases and i have to accelerate more and more so that i can change gear.
Your help will be much appreciated.

You need to get car scanned to see what fault is triggering light .

There bad for engine speed sensor,cam sensor fault,s but a diagnostic should show this up.
