2010 Nissan Pixo goes in gear but nothing
Year: 2010
Variant: 1.0 petrol
Driving along motorway car starting high reving then burning smell, stopped took out of gear and heard a massive clunk, then went back into gar but car wouldnt move.

Sounds like clutch burnt out .

Ok would that be the case even though i can put it into gear, as the recovery driver mentioned it could be gearbox or driveshaft

Should have asked the " recovery driver " why there was a burning smell . A broken driveshaft or g/box fault can cause non drive . Simple for your recovery driver to look under car and see if that was the case .With a completely knackered clutch you can put in gear but no drive .

He did have a look and got me to put it into gear and out and he said its engaging thats when he said it might be them one of them 2 problems but i appreciate your help.
