2005 Nissan Pathfinder car will intermittently not lock

Few suggestions here re. possible cause ,


Nissan pathfinder remote program procedure?
lock doors from inside, insert key in ignition 6 times in 10 seconds, hazard lights will flash, press lock button on remote, unlock and lock doors with master door switch, press lock button on other remote. then unlock and open door to complete procedure. so what am i doing wrong?

After the flashers flash turn the ignition to the "on" posistion just before the crank posistion. Then push the remote's button watch for flashers to flash, (second remote?) un lock and relock the doors and push the second remote's button Always have a back up set of keys and remotes.
