Sudden Loss of Power

1999 Nissan Liberty Hyper CVT
Car: Nissan Liberty
Year: 1999
Variant: Hyper CVT
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Starts very well and all is normal, but loses power after about 15 - 20 km. Then taking off is like it takes off in the third gear, especially in stop-and-go traffic. Alternatively, it can, all of a sudden, rev very high {like you are in first gear) even when travelling at 100 km/hr. If I then stop, it starts normaly, changes gears, but slowing down feels like it stats in the third gear to pick up speed again. Pliz help!

whatever the problem is, I think its got something to do with heat,,,,,coolant or oil because as soon as the engine heats up, thats when the problem begins. I the problem develops on a long journey, all I do is stop by the roadside, wait for about 20 to 30 minutes, then off I go.....what an inconvenience!
