2003 Nissan Elgrand steering lock stuck on, wont release

The car has stood for a while due to the Covid lockdown. I went out to start it the other day, but the steering lock won`t release. I have tried all the wiggling the steering wheel from left to right, and squirting in the key hole with WD40, but it still won`t release. Its stuck firmly on. so I can`t start it. Any ideas please?

Not the wrong key by chance ? try the spare key .
