1999 Nissan Elgrand my nissan elgrand seems to be looseing power and slightly chugging and smells like petrol

When i start the van it seems like it is running rough,like missing and loosing power slightly and has smell of petrol out back end

Sounds like it's not firing on all cylinders . Could check basics like plugs , air filter . May also be a plug lead breaking down intermittently causing a misfire on a cyl . It could also be a fuel injector fault , you can buy fuel injector cleaners that you just pour into the tank from any car accessory shop or store like Halfords
