2005 Nissan Elgrand 4wd warning light

4WD light stays on and neither the 2WD,auto or lock position lights come on in instrument cluster when switches are pressed. 4WD warning also comes up on display. I know previous owner changed wheel bearings on one side.

Wheel bearings shouldn't make any difference,
