1992 Nissan 100NX indicators come on and stay on

my indicators come on at random. they don't flash, just stay on until they've had enough and then turn off again. When they are not permanently on they work fine. Removing indicator fuse, hazard fuse and flasher relay makes no difference.

sounds like faulty indicitor switch

possible wiring fault or back feed from another component

I've bypassed the switch, (both hazard and indicators) I had sussed it's a wiring fault, but I can't think of anywhere that a fault would light all the indicator bulbs - all 6 outside and the two in the dash. Any ideas ?

check condition of rear light cluster circuit first. do they come on if something else is switched on .i.e lights etc

forgot to ask but does car have an alarm? or remote central locking that flashes indicators when car locked/unlocked
