1998 Mitsubishi Shogun check engine indication lamp come on when driving.

The check indication lamp comes on when driving and when this happens the truck lose power and miss firers. It seems to clear it self then the problem starts again. Any ideas?!

Checked basics i.e plugs , leads , coil pack ?
