1984 Mitsubishi Shogun glow plugs inoperational

glow plugs not heating. solenoid checked and is ok. could not locate temperature sensor and has not been able to proceed further to fix problem. any ideas

i guess you have tested the glow plugs work if not remove one at a time and test it but putting 12v through it and if it glows within a few seconds the plugs are ok if not they need replacing

In cold weather to start the shogun i CAREFULLY TIME AND feed the glow plugs directly from the battery. This tells me the glowplugs are ok. solenoid has been checked off vehicle and is ok.before replacing replacing control unit by foot pedals, i want to check temperature sensor but cannot locate it. any idea.

can anyone tell me where the temperature sensor in relation to the 'automatic' preheating system of the 2.8 diesel shogun located.thanks Ahmud
