2011 Mitsubishi Shogun gearbox slow to select drive or reverse. also will only change up 1,2,3 will not select 4 or 5 even if asked to by manual + shift

Could try changing ATF ( and filter if possible on that car ) which often cures a lot of faults . If not that , needs scanned for fault codes
