Gear box not disengaging properly.

2005 Mitsubishi Shogun 3.2 DID
Car: Mitsubishi Shogun
Year: 2005
Variant: 3.2 DID
Categories: Gearbox & Clutch
When the car warms up the Auto gearbox doesn't disengage properly when I apply the brake to stop the car will stall or keep lurching forward unless I put it in neutral. Its the same for reverse, all or nothing. Any ideas?

You need to verify if it's a transmission fault or an engine fault causing engine stalling Would be advisable to get it scanned with proper / suitable equipment for fault codes .Often changing auto transmission fluid cures a lot of faults .

The car was plugged in last week and had no fault codes, I have booked it in for transmission oil and filter change first week of January, fingers crossed that will help. Thank you for your reply.
