2013 Mitsubishi Shogun telephone won't hold connection

I can pair my iPhone 5 with the unit and it is working well for about a day and then the connection is lost. I have had the software re installed but the result is the same. I would also say that the radio is fairly erratic also but is useable

I have seen those symptoms occur with a weak / low car battery ..Especially if original and / or car used for short journeys ..
