Seems to be stuck in 3rd gear wen driving neutral lighy flashing on dash when in drive

Is the gear selector cable connected?It may be off.check this first if possible.

Sound very like the "limp home " mode,goes into this when there is a gearbox fault.
No next step but a gearbox fault code diagnosis,main dealer or indie auto box specialist.
