1999 Mitsubishi Shogun white smoke

Car: Mitsubishi Shogun
Year: 1999
Variant: 2.8 TDI Diesel
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
When enigne is cold, car starts, sometimes stalls and puffs out thick white smoke. Once car is running, no further smoke. Injectors have been checked, new fuel line from tank to engine, seals replaced on fuel tank. Continues to puff out smoke. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?
