1991 Mitsubishi Pajero not changing up

hi i have just got a 2.5 pajero and it does not want to change up from second and revs to about 4 k does anyone know what the problem could be help

Could be many causes , i.e clutch packs in box worn out , valve block , servos etc . Really need to get a diagnostic scan carried out .

does anybody have any other ideas as to what the problem could b have been told could be down to the oil in the g/box
