2002 Mitsubishi Pajero rear diff ratios

Hi, my Pajero has knocked a tooth off of the rear diff pinion. I've located a possible replacement diff assembly but I am uncertain as to whether there are different ratios of diff depending on the vehicle age etc. Mine is a 2002 model, could anyone please offer any information relating to this matter?
