1992 Mitsubishi Pajero engine noise

the engine is making a knocking noise from the left side . its a rattling noise that comes in around 2,000 rpm when free reving the engine and becomes louder the more you rev it. when driving it comes in arond 2500 rpm when not under load... i.e going down hill...has plenty of power and makes no noise under load i.e going up hill you can rev to 4000 rpm with no noises when driving .and idles fine ,but has low oil presure when engine is warmed upped...sounds top end to me can you help me please......thanks nigel

sounds like crankshaft carrier or bigend bearings worn hence knocking and low oil pressure
