hi i have a 1995 pajero and its really slow off the mark and the a/t light keeps coming on and it keeps change between 4th and 5 all the time any ideas

i have a 1994 jap import pajero and has had a new exhaust (complete) put on!its quite sluggish taking off and have checked the turbo and have the egr valve blocked off, im wondering if maybe the catalytic convertor is blocked up or sumthin???
